FEATURES:

Lock On to Satellite Signals
The Forerunner 205 sports a unique design that wraps the GPS antenna around part of the wrist for a better view of the sky, and its high sensitivity GPS receiver provides improved tracking under trees and near tall buildings.

Take It to the Next Level
Forerunner 205's courses feature lets you compete against previous workouts: you can compare your pace over your entire workout to your past performance over the same run. You can also use Forerunner 205 to train for your next duathlon or triathlon with multi-sport workouts, a feature that lets you seamlessly transition between sports without resetting the unit, so you can use it for running, biking and more.

Get the Data You Need
You can customize any of Forerunner 205's three main data screens — up to twelve different data fields give you instant feedback on your workout. And, as with every Forerunner, each workout is stored in memory so you can review and analyze the data and see how you've improved over time.

Track Your Progress
As an added benefit, you can plan, analyze and store data from your workouts using free Garmin Training Center® software, which lets you analyze data with interactive graphs that chart your pace, time and distance. Overlay your run on a map so you can pinpoint specific areas and see how elevation and other factors affect your performance. Or, upload your workout data to MotionBased.com, Garmin's web-based application that provides in-depth analysis of your workouts, online mapping and route sharing that will take your training to the next level. Endurance athletes can also use the Forerunner with TrainingPeaks.com, an easy-to-use web-based training system designed to help athletes train for any eve

OPTIONAL
Listen to Your Heart by adding a Heart Rate Monitor
(see accessories on this page)

Forerunner 50 with wireless heart rate effectively tracks and records your heart rate while you work out, providing instant feedback about how hard your heart is working. The optional digital heart rate monitor continuously tracks heart beats per minute which is wirelessly transmitted to the Forerunner 50. Even train in a certain heart rate zone to improve your fitness level. And well after your workout is done, Forerunner 50 is still working, wirelessly transmitting your training data to your PC.

OPTIONAL
Track Your Ride by adding the GSC10 Speed and Cadence Sensor

(see accessories on this page)
When paired with an optional speed/cadence sensor, Forerunner 50 tracks the speed and distance of your cycling workouts. The wireless speed/cadence sensor attaches securely to your bike and measures your pedaling cadence and wheel speed as you ride. You can even use it to train indoors because the sensor attaches to your rear wheel.

GARMIN TRAINING CENTER

What is Garmin Training Center (GTC)?
Garmin Training Center (GTC) is a training tool for your computer that works with your compatible Garmin fitness device. How can GTC improve my training?
You'll benefit from GTC in two primary ways: it helps you analyze workouts you've already completed, and it helps you plan workouts for the future. Your Garmin fitness product records an incredible amount of data from your workout or activity. Garmin Training Center saves this data and helps you review and analyze it. You can also create, save and schedule workouts and transfer them to your fitness device.

Review your workout data, including pace/speed, distance, time, calories burned; and if available, heart rate, cadence and detailed elevation.

View a detailed graph of your workout data in GTC, plotted over time or distance.

View a map of your workout that shows the exact path you traveled. (Maps are not available with Forerunner 50 activities.)

Categorize your workout history according to type of activity.

Review previous workouts, which are saved by day and week.

Create customized workouts with specific goals and rest intervals. Then send them to your fitness device (Forerunner 201 cannot load workouts from GTC).

Schedule workouts for a specific day with GTC's calendar. GTC even comes with several workout templates designed by the experts at TrainingPeaks.com. TrainingPeaks provides custom training plans for
beginning, intermediate and advanced athletes training for all types of events.
